Outings, visitors and mental health awareness week

🎼✨ Earlier this term the children had an exciting outing. They attended a children's concert performed by the Southern Pro Musica at G-Live.

The coach there was buzzing, as was the auditorium which was filled with children from different schools around Surrey.

The concert itslef was a magical introduction to the different instruments with music to inspire. 🎻🚌🎵✨

Year 2 have been learning about the Great Fire of London.

🔥They had a visit from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service who told them about the differences between firefighting in 1666 and now.

👩‍🚒 They learnt how to keep safe.

✍️ They then imagined what it would have been like, and used their senses to write poems.

In aid of children's mental health week children explored the book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. We used their recently learned printing technique to make posters and then expressed themselves by printing their favourite animals
