Physical Education

From September 2024 we are using a scheme of work and resources from Real PE.

The clear intent of this curriculum is to progressively develop children's fundamental movement skills and motor competence from foundation stage through to when the children leave us at the end of year 2. We want all children to be confident movers with secure motor competence and to have a positive relationship with physical activity.

Children are taught age-appropriate rules, strategies and tactics that align with the movements, challenges, and games they are working on.

Competition is introduced appropriately and used as learning tool so that children have the opportunity to develop learning behaviours that align with our school values such as resilience and encouraging others.
