As we step into 2024, our students have brought their dreams and goals to life in a magical way. Inspired by the story of 'Squirrel's New Year's Resolution' by Pat Miller they've crafted enchanting wands representing their hopes for the year ahead. 📚✨
The children also learnt about how different countries celebrate new year. Did you know that in Greece it is traditional to hang an onion on the front door of your home on New Year’s Eve as a symbol of rebirth in the New Year. To commemorate New Year’s Day, parents then wake their children by tapping them on the head with the onion! 🧅
Reception class created sparkly firework pictures with London landmarks after talking about how London celebrates New Year.
The school has been full of the excitement of a new year and a new term. The corridors are full of hats and gloves and fluffy coats, and a flurry of snow drew everyone to the window this week.
