January highlights
What a magical start to the term January has been.Â
Although the cold, ice and snow weren’t welcome by some, our children and school team embraced the change in temperature and were in awe of the beautiful landscape that came with it. Â
Out in the playground ice blocks became paint palettes to explore mixing powder paints and the different textures they produced.Â

In the woods, thanks to all our parents for providing their children with warm clothing, the children ventured out onto Holmbury Hill during the Forest School session. Ducking under branches laden with snow and making snow dens in the bracken. The sculptures amongst them created a snow dog and a snow robin.

The children had a trip to Pizza Express this month where they designed their own pizza and were given a tour behind the scenes. They enjoyed eating them back at school!
This month we have been very pleased to welcome our new Key Stage One teacher Mrs Hillery. The children in Oak Class have helped to make her feel at home at Peaslake School and we all look forward to getting to know her better.
With 'Mental Health Awareness week', 'Science week' and 'Book week' coming up in February and March there's lots of look forward to.
