Sport, Sunflowers and Seaside Adventures

As another school year comes to a close, we have been making the most of every moment with a busy schedule of celebrations, performances and special memories.

A World Cup Sports Day ⚽️

This year's Sports Day had a World Cup theme, bringing plenty of excitement, teamwork and friendly competition to the school field. The children approached every event with determination, resilience and huge smiles, cheering each other on throughout the afternoon.

The events included The Pitch Sprint, England Hoop Skipping, The Golden Ball Balance, The World Cup Bootcamp Obstacle Race and The Kit Room Scramble Relay Race. Every child gave their best effort and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, making it a brilliant day for everyone involved. A huge thank you to all the families who came along to support and encourage the children.

Leavers Play 🎶

After weeks of rehearsals, the children were delighted to perform our end-of-year production, There's a Sunflower in My Supper. They impressed audiences with their confidence, enthusiasm and wonderful singing, bringing the story to life with plenty of humour and energy. We are proud of every child that took part.

A Seaside Adventure 🌊

No school year at Peaslake Free School would be complete without our annual trip to Littlehampton Beach. Armed with buckets, spades and plenty of sun cream, the children enjoyed a fantastic day by the sea, building sandcastles, playing games on the beach and creating happy memories with their friends. It was the perfect way to celebrate another successful year together.

Welcoming New Faces 🙂

Over the past few weeks, we have been delighted to welcome our new Reception children into school for their transition visits. It has been lovely to see them exploring their new classrooms, meeting their teachers and making new friends ahead of starting school in September. We can't wait to welcome them properly as the newest members of our Peaslake Free School family.

Wishing Our Year 2s Every Success 👋

As an infant school, the end of the summer term also means saying goodbye to our wonderful Year 2 children as they move on to their next schools.

We are proud of everything they have achieved and know they are ready for their next adventure. We wish each and every one of them the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter.

As we look ahead to the summer holidays, we would like to thank all our families and the wider community for their continued support throughout the year. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer, and we look forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces back to Peaslake Free School in September.
